Vice Admiral Timothy
J. Keating ’67
After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in
1971, Tim completed his
flight training in October 1973 and set out on a number of
combat operations
thereafter, including Operation Desert Storm. In 2003, he
served as Naval
Commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Most recently,
Tim assumed
responsibilities as Director, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington,
D.C. Tim
and his wife, Wanda Lee, reside in Washington, D.C. and have
two grown
children, Daniel and Julie Camardella. |

Thomas Frericks,
Jr. ’73
Tom pursued a degree in electronic technology at the University of Dayton after
graduating from Alter High School. While still in college, he worked at Copp
Systems, a local systems integrator and design engineering company, and went
on to
purchase the company in 1983. Since then, he has kept busy not only by
managing his company and family, but also through becoming president of
the National Systems Contractors Association, operating the sound system
at UD Arena, and staying active at his high school alma mater. Tom’s recent
activities at Alter include acting as a parish representative on the Education
Commission and serving as a member of the Strategic Advisory
Commission and the Executive Committee of the Alter Festival. His
contributions to the annual AlterFest allow this profitable event to reach its
true successful potential year after year. Tom has three children, Kim ’00,
Chrissy ’01, and TJ ’03, all whom have had the opportunity to attend
Alter. |

Judge William Klatt ’74
Following the completion of his undergraduate work at Miami University, Bill
obtained his law degree from the University of Notre Dame and was admitted to
the
Ohio and Federal Bars in 1981. Bill is presently a member of the Tenth District
Court
of Appeals, where he has served since March 2002. Prior to joining the
appellate bench, he was chief legal counsel to Governor Bob Taft. In
addition to his judicial and legal experience in the public sector, which
includes an appearance before the United States Supreme Court, Bill has
significant private practice experience as a trial lawyer. Bill has been active
outside his legal profession as well, previously serving as treasurer, first
vice president, and president of the Godman Guild Association, a United
Way public service organization. He is also a board member for the Ohio
Legal Assistance Foundation and the Arts and College Preparatory
Academy. Bill and his wife, Dr. Maryanna Danis Klatt - Alter graduate ’78,
have three children, Will, Anna, and Joseph. |

Dr. Julie Rindler
Griffith ’79
Julie obtained her B.S. premedicine degree with honors from
the University of
Dayton, her M.D. from The Ohio State University Medical School,
and was named
Chief Resident during her residency in the Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation
Department at Ohio State. Her training and practice have
involved working
with severely injured patients with spinal cord injuries,
head trauma nerve
damage, and strokes. Julie currently works as a partner and
owner of
Physical Medicine Assoc., Inc., as an assistant clinical
professor at OSU,
and as a medical director at Ohio Health Impatient Rehabilitation
Unit.
Board certified in physical medicine and electromyography,
she values her
involvement with professional organizations such as American
Academy of
Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Academy of Physical
Medicine and
Rehabilitation, and Association of Academic Physiatrists.
Julie and her
husband, Kevin Griffith – Alter grad ’78, live
in Columbus, Ohio with their
three daughters, Kelly, Amy, and Caroline and are expecting
another child
soon. |
